Our tour packages are great for people who love whales and all marine life and perfect for marine biologists, photographers and videographers. Packages are organized to include everything you need so you don’t have to worry about anything, leaving you nothing but time to enjoy every moment. Tour groups have a maximum of 10 people per group and includes your own Private Charter boat and captain with crew and whale swim tour guide.
The Hump Back Whales start arriving around end of June – start of July and leave around mid-November. All tour dates are designed around the best times of the whale season to maximize your chances of swimming with the Whales with a high average of 95% sight rate and 85% swim rate. OUR PACKAGES ARE GREAT FOR EVERYONE WHO LOVES WHALES AND ALL MARINE LIFE AND GREAT FOR PHOTOGRAPHERS AND VIDEOGRAPHERS. PACKAGES ARE 7 NIGHTS AND HAVE UP TO MAX 10 PER GROUP.
INTERNATIONAL AIRFARES are not included with your package, first you need to fly to Rarotonga International Airport capital of the Cook Islands. From there weather you stayed in Raro for a few days or just landed on an International flight connect with Air Rarotonga for your inter-Island flight (included) to Aitutaki.
ACCOMMODATION is all on beach front properties to the lagoon and include kayak and/or SUP usage. We use the best Beach front Bungalows and resorts on the island. All have air conditioning, fridge, own bathroom and shower + more.
TROPICAL OR COOKED BREAKFAST is provided every morning where your accommodation is.
TRANSFERS are included from the airport to your accommodation and return on arrival and departure day. Transfers are also included mon-fri from your accommodation to the boat and return each day out on the water.
You must provide your own transport to get around the Island to shops, cafes, restaurants for dinners, grocery stores, markets, view the look outs, beaches and anywhere else you want to explore on the island. The best way is by renting a scooter, car or island taxi or tour bus.
5 DAYS OUT ON THE WATER looking for Hump Back Whales on board private group charter boat. Encountering and swimming with the Gentle giants of the sea. (4-5 hours / day). First meet the captain and crew then we have a briefing on boat safety and whale swim safety in the water with reminder each day. With our experienced guide in the water with you to keep you safe and show you where to be and what to do, you will have an amazing time. Not only do we get the chance to swim with the whales but also explore the best Islands, beaches and snorkeling spots Aitutaki has with loads of marine life such as Giant Clams, Huge Napoleon wrasse, starfish, eels, Giant Trevally, Turtles and 1000’s of colorful fish.
LUNCH is also provided with cold drinks on all water days out on the boat mon-fri. If you have any food allergies please let us know ahead of time so we can organize suitable lunches for everyone. Lunch is not included on Saturdays and Sunday.
DINNER is included 6 nights of the week at different locations all around the Island for the best way to try everything Aitutaki has to offer from local island delicacies, international dishes and mouthwatering deserts. One night not to be missed is the cultural Island Night and show with amazing fire dance. I night you won’t forget and loads of fun.
SUNDAY FUNDAY Rest and relax after your long trip to the islands unwind and take it all in. On Sundays there is mostly no work and everything is closed but the Resorts some shops, cafes and Beach bars are open. Chill out with a few cocktails and some food. Otherwise if you are full of energy it’s a good time to check out the beaches, look outs and explore the island.

SAFETY FIRST our packages are for people 14yrs of age and over. Any youth on tour under the age of 18yrs must be accompanied by an adult. CAUTION / NOTE: Every person on tour including all young and old must have a certain level of fitness and swimming ability. All swims are in open ocean and some in very deep water. You must be able to do everything by yourself including gearing up onboard with snorkeling gear and being able to swim by yourself unaided. You must be able to exit and enter the boat and the water unassisted, sometimes while drifting in the water taking you fins off waiting for others so you can climb aboard the boat. The guide will be last to exit.
SPECIALTY SWIM WITH THE WHALE PACKAGE TOURS For those with family or friends younger than 14yrs and those unable to swim as well and may need floating aids, a specialty package tour can be arranged just for you. We recommend booking out 1 full tour group package for the week to take the time your group needs in the water without the pressure of other guests and still have the chance to make your dreams come true swimming with the whales.
CANCELATION POLICY As on our website www.wetnwild-aitutaki.com all charters and activities are payable in advance to confirm booking and secure date and time.
There is only 3 reasons why we refund and that is-
1. The Captain cancels the trip due to bad weather and is unsafe to operate.
2. The boat is out of action due to mechanical issues.
3. The border is closed due to Covid and you are unable to travel.
Then you can schedule to the next available time, exchange for any other Wet & Wild activity or we will give you a full refund less reservation costs.
